Effect on the System
1.
In non-protection mode, the traffic is interrupted.
2.
In protection mode:
l
For frequency diversity (FD), the traffic is not interrupted after a FD is disabled.
l
For space diversity (SD) and hot-backup (HSB) diversity, the traffic is interrupted
after the active ODU is disabled.
"Mute Enable" is the switch that controls whether ODU is in the transmitting status. If ODU
is in the transmitting status, the traffics of both SD and HSB are interrupted.
Possible Causes
1.
In non-protection mode, users can manually set the transmission power of ODU to 0
by selecting "ODU Mute Enable".
2.
In protection mode:
a.
If FD is used, users manually set the transmission power of two ODUs to 0 by
selecting "ODU Mute Enable".
b.
If HSB and SD are used, users manually set the transmission power of the active
ODU to 0 by selecting "Mute Enable".
Handling Procedure
Do not select "Mute Enable".
