create a password the first
time they login to the
device.
Note: root access has been
disabled for security
reasons.

Mount your LSR
For detailed mounting instructions, see the

Connect to your network
Connect a ZPE-recommended
CAT 5e or CAT 6 cable from the
10/100/1000BaseT port to your network.

Connect to the Serial Console port
Using the ZPE’s RJ
-45 console adaptor, connect a
terminal or workstation with terminal emulator (set to
115200bps, 8, N,1, with no flow control) to the LSR
serial console port.
Alternatively, use the VGA port.

Connect power cables
Connect the power cable to the appliance
.

Turn LSR on
Turn on the power switches.
