Driving operation 

 

  Description! 

The shift lever at Gear P can leave Gear P if the solenoid valve is 
locked.  After  the  shift  lever  leaves  Gear  P,  the  shift  lever  can  be 
pushed  even  if  the  solenoid  valve  is  locked;  the  shift  lever,  if 
returned to Gear P, will be locked by the mechanical mechanism. 

 

Caution ! 

This method could be available when the gear lever is locked and 
thus unable to normally shift out of P gear. 

In  such  case,  the  transmission  is  possibly  failed  and  please  go  to 
the authorized service station for repair. 

 

 

Parking 

In case of long-period parking, it is necessary to push the shift lever to 
Gear P and then park the car. 

To  park  the  vehicle  on  a  slope,  the  vehicle  shall  be  operated  in  the 
following  steps  in  order  to  prevent  the  transmission  from  damage 
because  the  locking  mechanism  of  Gear  P  bears  a  high  force:    To 
shut down engine, sequentially follow the steps shown below: depress 
the brake pedal, shift the transmission to N gear, apply the electronic 
parking brake, shift the transmission to P gear, loosen the brake pedal, 
switch off engine. 

Warning!

 

●  When  the  vehicle  is  moving,  the  transmission  must  not  be 

shifted to Gear P; otherwise, the transmission may be damaged 
severely, even resulting in the vehicle out of control.
