X Series Operator’s Guide

External Paddles

The external paddles on the X Series device are used for defibrillation and synchronized
cardioversion.

Caution

You cannot use paddles for external transcutaneous pacing.

Attaching the MFC cable

Attach the MFC from the X Series unit to the connector at the base of the APEX paddle.

If you need to detach the MFC from the APEX paddles, push the

RELEASE

button in the

direction of the arrow and unplug the MFC.

Paddles are defibrillation-proof Type BF equipment.
