ZOLL 330 Multifunction Aspirator Operator’s Guide
7-5
Functional Checks
The aspirator continuously performs a self check to monitor the pneumatic system.
You should always check the aspirator’s vacuum level as part of the annual service procedure.
Check the aspirator:
•
Every 12 months.
•
Whenever significant usage warrants a shorter period between preventative maintenance
inspections.
•
Whenever you suspect the unit is not functioning properly.
•
Following mass deployment before the device is returned to storage.
You should maintain a record of functional checks for devices not returned to ZOLL for
maintenance. If the unit fails the functional check, return it to ZOLL or an authorized Service
Center.
To perform a functional check, you must use the ZOLL RCS system; only ZOLL-trained and
certified personnel can use the ZOLL RCS system.
Troubleshooting
You can quickly address common problems by following the alarm mitigation instructions.
Should this device fail to operate properly, verify the integrity of all accessories, suction tubing,
and fitting connections. Check all control panel settings and follow the alarm mitigation
instructions provided by the aspirator's Smart Help messages.
Verify that the vacuum port is not clogged or dirty. Check for operating power with internal
batteries and external power sources.
If the tests above do not resolve an operating problem, service is required. Contact the closest
authorized ZOLL Service Center or the ZOLL Customer Service Department.
The aspirator contains no user-serviceable parts. However, before contacting ZOLL or an
authorized ZOLL Service Center, please check for the following possible causes of a failure.
