HIGH WATER ALARM

P/N 10-0763

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

DESCRIPTION:

 The

FLOOD ALERT

®

by Zoeller is a self-contained electronic device that sounds an alarm when the metal leads of the sensor come in contact with

water. The alarm is powered by three (3) AAA alkaline batteries and features an audible low battery alarm by emitting a short beep periodically.  The unit may also
be powered by an optional 4.5 volt DC power adapter (available at most electronic retailers). Output: 150 MA, Tip Positive, Type B.

NEVER SUBMERGE OR ALLOW WATER TO COME INTO CONTACT WITH THE FLOOD ALERT

®

 ENCLOSURE.

INSTALLATION

1. Open the front cover and insert three AAA batteries.  Replace the cover and activate the alarm using the slide switch on the side.
2. Test the

FLOOD ALERT

®

by immersing the sensor leads in water.  You will hear a loud alarm every 5 seconds.  This indicates that the unit is working properly.  To

silence alarm, simply remove the sensor leads from the water and wipe them dry.  Blowing air across the sensor leads will remove any residual moisture that may
still be on them.

3.  Determine the location and level that you wish to monitor. Snap the sensor into the holding bracket. Mount the bracket by removing the adhesive backing and firmly

placing it at the predetermined location and level. The included cable tie should additionally be inserted through the slot in the bracket and secured to the pipe, etc.

4. Use the velcro tape included in the package to mount the

FLOOD ALERT

®

to any smooth, clean surface. Or, use the included cable tie to mount the unit to a pipe.

The cable tie can be pushed through the slots in the back of the alarm. The pipe shape of the back of the alarm will help hold the alarm securely in place. Make
certain that the alarm enclosure will not come into contact with water.

MAINTENANCE

a) Test your

FLOOD ALERT

®

once a month and, if necessary, clean the water level sensor leads to ensure proper operation.

b) Under normal circumstances the three  AAA batteries should provide one year of service.  REPLACE YOUR BATTERIES AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR to ensure
proper operation.  NOTE:  Damp locations or high temperature may reduce the battery life.
