clutch
common information:
The coupling on your machine is designed for rugged, reliable operation, yet it is important to know
the limitations of a clutch. A clutch is designed to allow load-free starting of the engine and slipping
in the event of excessive overload on the driven application. These features protect the engine from
damage such as broken crankshafts and starters.
The clutch derives its power from the engine speed. The lower the engine speed and the higher the
engine speed held, the more torque the clutch can transmit to the driven unit.
do not operate at less than full speed. When starting the engine, your machine's engine will run
without load until it reaches a speed of approximately 1200 rpm, at which point the centrifugal clutch
will engage and begin to drive the rotor. The correct rotor speed is 2400 rpm when the engine is
running at full speed. The speed governor controls the maximum safe operating speed and protects
the motor. Overspeeding the engine is dangerous and will cause damage to the engine and other
moving parts of the machine.
Familiarize yourself with successful operating conditions and avoid those that can lead to overload.
Clutch damage can be costly and is not covered under warranty. For this reason, it is important that
you shut down the machine immediately if it jams.
Clutch exchange:
1. remove the belt.
2. remove the clutch from the shaft by removing the screw and washers.
3. slide the clutch from the shaft
4. remove key from keyway
5. clean shaft and remove any burrs
6. apply anti-seize agent to the shaft
7. insert key into keyway of shaft
8. slide new clutch onto shaft and secure with screw, washer and lock washer
tighten two Allen screws
9. mount belt again, check belt tension and belt alignment and adjust if necessary.
10. mount belt cover.

Lubricate the bearings
Lubricate the bearings of the chipper side and the drive
side.
To do this, wipe off all dirt from the grease nipples (1)
with a cloth and then apply no more than 3 squirts of
high-quality all-purpose grease using a grease gun.
Over-lubrication can also damage the bearings. Also,
periodically check the bearing cup set screws to make
sure they are tight. If they are loose, tighten them with
threadlocker (Loctite), available at any hardware store.

Charging the battery
•
Only use chargers recommended by the manufacturer to charge the battery. Never use
chargers that are not intended for the battery type (fire hazard!).
•
Avoid overheating when charging the battery. Ensure sufficient air supply so that no heat can
accumulate.
•
Allow the battery to cool down after intensive use before recharging it.
•
Allow the battery to cool down immediately after charging.
•
Always charge the battery in a well-ventilated area.
•
Do not smoke when charging the battery. Keep the battery away from open flames and sparks.
Oxyhydrogen, which is produced during charging of the battery, is explosive.

Storage
If the machine is stored for longer than 30 days:
•
Drain the fuel tank completely and store the drained fuel in a suitable container.
•
Start the machine and let it run until it stops. This helps to prevent gum deposits from
forming inside the carburettor and possible motor damage.
•
Wait until the machine has cooled down sufficiently.
•
Clean the machine with a clean cloth and keep the ventilation slots free of deposits.
•
Tighten loose screws, nuts or bolts.
•
Replace damaged machine components immediately.
•
Store the machine in a dry, clean place, well packaged.
