SECTION 2 FILTER & TAP INSTALLATION

• 

Ensure that the mains cold water supply is 

turned off.

• 

Choose a suitable location, (cupboard back or 

side wall).  

• 

Mount the filter head in an upright position, 

using the screws supplied in the fittings kit.

• 

Ensure there is enough headroom for the 

filter cartridge to be easily fitted and removed. 

*Allow a min. 80mm base clearance.

• 

Attach the pipes as model installation  

diagram (see section 3), noting the flow 

directions as marked on the filter head and 

non return valve (see sections 3).

2.1 Installing the filter system

• 

The ¼” pipe supplied must be carefully measured and cut to allow for the connection 

of the filter,valves and Command Centre.

• 

Flush water through the supply line thoroughly before connection

• 

Connect the pressure limiting valve to the isolating valve (not supplied). 

• 

Mount the filter head and connect the stop cock in a convenient position.

• 

Connect the filter assembly plumbing between the pressure limiting valve and the 

inlet of the Command Centre, using the ¼” tubes supplied. (ensure that the non 

return valve is fitted) (see individual model arrangements pages 13-14).

• 

Note the flow direction, arrowed on the top of the filter head & non return valve.

• 

Ensure the flush stop cock is accessible after installation, this is required to flush 

water through the filter, when the filter is installed or changed.

•  Write the date of replacement on the new filter cartridge label. 
•  Remove the protective plastic cap from the filter cartridge, lubricate 

o-rings with 

water. (Do not use any petroleum products to lubricate the o-rings).

•  Align the tabs of the cartridge with the filter head and insert it up into the filter head.
• 

Turn the cartridge a quarter turn anti-clockwise until it stops and locks into position.

installation, see Section 3.

 

The external filter is a sub-micron scale filter designed to reduce scale build up in the tank, which also includes a 

carbon block to improve taste and odour.
