previous audio levels, not-muted.
Patching Channels
Performing a Cross-Channel Patch (Patch)
A patch can be set up between channels or from a channel to a telephone line. Any number
of channels can be included in a patch.
To include two or more channels in a patch, press the
Patch
button and then highlight (by
clicking with the left mouse button or simply touching the channel box) the channels
involved in the patch. If you want to remove a channel from the patch, click or touch the
channel box again. When completed selecting the channels in the patch, press the
Patch
button again.
To transmit on the patch, use the
Patch Xmit
key (see
Issuing a Patch Transmit (Patch
During operation, the first channel that receives activity causes the received audio to be
transmitted on all other channels in the patch. Individual radios, pre-PTT IDs, are not
transmitted between patched channels. The console channels, pre-PTT ID, if enabled, are
sent immediately following transmitter keying.
You can select multiple, simultaneous patches. When you set up a patch using the
Patch
button, the patch indication for the channel shows “P-1,” indicating that the channel is
patched using Patch Path 1. If there are multiple Patch Paths set up, the
Patch Xmit
key
transmits on the designated Patch Path only.
If you want to set up another patch, use the
Patch Path <n>
control button to change the
patch path number before highlighting the channels in the patch.
Clearing a Patch
The
Patch Clear
button may be used to clear the patch selection from all channels
involved in a patch.
Note
Radio channels and telephone channels behave differently in
regards to muting. A radio channel cannot be muted while the
channel is selected. A telephone channel may be muted while it is
either selected or unselected.
Note
Patching is not supported with MAP27 channels. Patching may also
exhibit issues with other types of trunked radio channel as well
(P25 and Fleetsync) when they are operating in “Full Duplex”
mode.
