Control device
1.
Install the primary controller on the side of the vehicle normally facing away from the traffic. The dis
-
tance between the vehicle’s rear edge and the centre of the controller must be 300-600 mm. Connection
is performed later in sections 5.3 or
6.3 if this is not already done from the factory.
2. Additional control devices may be installed in any location. Connection is described later in section
6.3.
IMPORTANT!
The controller’s cable intake must always face downwards.
Pay attention and be careful when running cables to get longer life for the cables and to reduce the
risk of unnecessary downtime.
The cable must not be fastened to brake lines or the vehicle’s normal electrical system.
The cable must be protected by rubber grommets when it passes through beams or walls.
Cables must be installed sufficiently far
from, or be protected against, sharp edges so they cannot chafe
or otherwise sustain damage that could lead to a short-circuit and cable fires.
Take care not to bend cables to too tight a radius as this can cause damage.
