Check Possible cause Procedure
Spark plug. The spark plug is dirty or wet. Make sure that the spark plug is dry and
clean.
The spark plug electrode gap is incorrect. Clean the spark plug. Make sure that the
electrode gap is correct. Make sure that the
spark plug has a supressor.
Refer to technical data for correct electrode
gap.
The spark plug is loose. Tighten the spark plug.
The engine starts but stops again

Fuel tank. Incorrect fuel type. Empty the fuel tank and fill it with cor-
rect fuel.
Air filter. The air filter is clogged. Clean the air filter.

• Remove the spark plug cap before long-term
storage.
• Attach the product during transportation. Make sure
that it cannot move.
• Make sure that there is no risk of fuel leaks, fuel
fumes, sparks or flames during transportation and
storage.
• Attach the transport guard to the cutting attachment
during transportation and storage.
• Clean and do servicing on the product before long-
term storage.
• Use approved containers for the fuel when you
transport and store it.
• Empty the fuel tank before long-term storage. Speak
to your local gasoline station to find out where to
dispose unwanted fuel.
