This product may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances. Further information should be
sought from the manufacturer.
• The hearing protector’s noise attenuating properties can dramatically decrease with usage of for
example, thick eyeglass frames, ski masks/balaclavas, etc. Brush away all hair from the ears and
place the earmuffs over the ears so that they fit comfortably and snugly. Ensure that the ears are
completely enclosed by the earmuffs and that you have even pressure around the ears.
• Immediately discard the product if showing signs of cracks or damage.
•
The audibility of warning signals at a specific
workplace may be impaired if over protected, when using a
hearing protector with a too high noise attenuation performance in relation to the noise environment.
• When using hearing protection with entertainment audio features, remember to adjust the volume when
working in noisy environments so that any warning signals etc. can be heard.
• For some individuals, excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones may cause hearing
loss.
• Do not use this product in a potentially explosive atmosphere.
• Ensure that the hearing protectors are regularly inspected for serviceability.
• This hearing protector is provided with level-dependent attenuation. The wearer should check correct
operation before use. If disortion or failure is deteced, the wearer should refer to the manufacturers advice
for maintenance and replacement of the battery.
• Warning! Performance may deteriote with battery usage. The typical period of continuous use that can be
expected from the hearing protector is 62/56 hours
• Warning! The output of the level-dependent circuit of this hearing protector may exceed the external sound
level.
Headband
(pic. C)
• Adjust the protector to its largest size and put it on your head.
• Adjust the band so that the protector rests lightly against the crown of your head.
Helmet/Cap mount
(pic. D)
• Push the helmet mount into the helmet’s slot attachment until it snaps into place.
•
Place the earmuffs over the ears and press inwards until you hear a click. Adjust the earmuffs so that
the helmet fits comfortably on your head.
Care
Clean with mild soap. You must be sure that the detergent you use does not irritate the skin. The hearing
protector must be stored dry and clean, e.g. in its original packaging. Do not dip the product in water!
When damp, turn the shells outwards and remove the cushions so they can dry. Remove the batteries.
Warning!
If the instructions above are not followed, the noise attenuation could drastically decrease.
The hearing protector must always be used in noisy environments to provide full protection effect!
Only 100% wear time provides full protection.
Information required by E.P.A. (US)
The level of noise entering a person’s ear, when hearing protector is worn as directed, is closely approximated
by the difference between the A weighted environmental noise level and the NRR.
Example:
1. The environmental noise level as measured at the ear is 92 dBA.
2. The NRR is 25 decibels (dB).
3. The level of noise entering the ear is approximately equal to 67 dB.
Caution
For noise environments dominated by frequencies below 500 Hz the C-weighted environmental noise level
shall be used.
Warning
Improper fit of this device will reduce its effectiveness in attenuating noise. Although hearing protectors can be
recommended for protection against the harmful effects of impulsive noise, the noise reduction rating (NRR)
is based on the attenuation of continuous noise and may not be accurate indicator of the protection attainable
against impulsive noise such as gunfire.
