WIFI SD card firmware update
The WIFI SD card has its own firmware, that can be updated if needed. Follow
instructions below to update the firmware.
Preparations:
1.
Download latest FlashAirFWUpdateTool from Toshiba FlashAir
support pages.
2.
Install FlashAirFWUpdateTool to Windows. After install, UpdateTool
is found from Windows start menu under TOSHIBA.
Update process:
1.
Set USB write protection ‘Off’ from Device menu.
2.
Select ‘SD card firmware update mode’ from Device menu.
3.
Place the camera onto the cradle. The camera displays ‘SD card
firmware update mode’ message.
4.
Wait for the camera USB drive to get connected to the PC.
5.
Start FlashAirFWUpdateTool in PC.
6.
Select the camera USB drive as update target and press ‘Update’.
7.
Wait for UpdateTool progress bar to complete.
8.
When UpdateTool asks to remove the card, use Windows ‘Safely
Remove Hardware’ function from task tray to disconnect the camera
USB drive.
9.
When UpdateTool asks to insert the card, press any key from the
camera to reset the SD card.
10.
Do not yet press ‘OK’ button from UpdateTool. Wait approximately 1
minute while the camera displays ‘Programming SD card’ message.
11.
When the camera shows ‘SD card firmware update mode’ message
again, camera USB drive should get reconnected.
12.
If the camera USB drive is not properly mounted (may take several
seconds), repeat from step 9.
13.
When the camera USB drive is reconnected to PC, answer OK to
UpdateTool query about inserting the card.
14.
Repeat from step 6. (normally will repeat 3 times)
15.
When UpdateTool reports ‘Updated Successfully’, remove Camera
from cradle and it will power off automatically.
16.
Update completed.
