Patient environment
The patient environment is the space where direct contact of the patient or
operator with third persons is possible.
When using a further device type in the patient environment, use a device
that complies with IEC 60601-1. If devices are used which do not comply
with IEC 60601-1, an isolating transformer is required to power the device
or connect the devices to additional protective grounding.
