Laser TIRF imaging system
The Laser TIRF imaging system is used to visualize fluorescence-capable substances / molecules (excitable
by light) by means of an electromagnetic (evanescent) field generated by total reflection. Typically, this
field is generated at the transition from the cover slip to the medium and decays exponentially with the
distance (see Section 2.2 on page 24).
Only operate the Laser TIRF imaging system in combination with the microscope stand:
Axio Observer.Z1
(431007-9901-000 and higher)
Use the Laser TIRF imaging system only together with class 3B laser modules of up to a
maximum total output power of 500 mW.
