HD video control unit connections only
1 Remote socket (HD)
A foot switch (option) can be connected here.
You can configure the foot switch for the integrated HD video camera
(HD ready 720p) as described in Page 152 or for the integrated video
camera live & streaming control unit (full HD 1080p) as described in
Page 191.
2 Connection for the camera head
The system cable connects the camera installed in the surgical microscope
to the video unit.
Switch the video unit off before plugging or unplugging the system cable
into/from the video unit. The camera may be damaged if the cable is
plugged/unplugged while voltage is still being applied.
3 "HDMI" video output
Digital connection for monitors or recorders from the consumer area.
HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is used to transfer digital
video data.
4 "YPbPr" video output
Analog connection for high resolution monitors or TV sets
(For the YPbPr cable, see Order Information, Page 254).
5 SD video
"Composite" video output (FBAS). Analog connection for video compo-
nents.
6 USB port
Use only USB media that meet at least USB 2.0 specifications.
7 Service interface
Reserved for ZEISS Service personnel.
8 LAN input/output
Network 100 Mbit
9 Video signal output Y/C
Use the Y/C output if only one analog SD monitor is available and no HD
monitor.
No menus and status information (header bar and footer bar) will be dis-
played in the Y/C video signal output. Use an HD video signal output (DVI
oder YPbPr) for operation and configuration.
We recommend the use of high resolution monitors.
