Operating modes for the X-ray tube
There is a separate
key switch
on the controller cabinet for the X-ray
tube. It is labeled with
X-RAY
.
The X-ray tube is off.
This setting should be used if the CT system is not used
for more than seven days.
The X-ray tube is ready for operation.
The tube must be powered up first to enable workpiece
radiation.
Standby mode.
This setting should be used if the CT system is not used
for a short period of time, for example during the week-
end. Advantage: The CT scanner can be powered up
faster. This particularly applies to the X-ray tube.
Info
: In standby mode, all components of the X-ray sys-
tem, except for one component, remain turned on. The
component for high voltage generation is not powered by
voltage. The behavior of the standby mode corresponds
to an interlock circuit.
No warm-up is possible if the CT system is in the standby
mode.
Start-up sequence
Proceed in the following order:
1
Start the CT system.
2
Initialize the door control.
3
Preparing the CT system on the user computer.
