The total number of pixels of the currently used
detection module is displayed in the

down menu and is labeled as standard. Binning of
the camera pixels can be set as well using the
Format

the binning factor and the resulting number of
pixels.

down list.
Zoom selection and Light Sheet Thickness
selection
You can regulate the area to be imaged with the
Zoom
function, adjust the value with the slider,
type in numeric values into the adjacent box, or
use the arrows. This zoom is realized with
hardware zoom optics within the system. When
using the
Zoom
,
the number of pixels stays
unchanged. But, the size of the total area imaged
(
Image Size
) and the area represented by a pixel
(
Pixel Size
) will change accordingly. You can look
at the image and pixel dimensions in
µ
m in the
Acquisition Area.
The
Zoom
numbers are displayed in red when set to values from 0.36 to 0.7; the same range is
indicated with a red line below the slider. Within these zoom settings, the image quality towards
the edges can decrease.
Be aware, when you change the Zoom during an acquisition session, the light sheet alignment
(Light sheet
Auto-Adjust
in the
Channel tool
window) needs to be done again.
When the Zoom slider is used to change the
Image Size
, a zoom of the illumination beam path is
also activated to ensure the ideal light sheet thickness ratio of 1:2 for the center to border ratio.
