Please read the notes on device safety and manuals of additional devices, if ordered.
As the system is largely operated via menus on a computer, you should be familiar with the principles of the
WINDOWS operating system and its graphical user interface. The respective manuals are supplied together
with the programs.
The Lattice Lightsheet 7 system are laser hazard class 2 devices. The systems are equipped with
safety interlocks that comply with laser hazard class 3B. WHO recommendations concerning
health and industrial protection when handling laser devices must be observed. The operator of
the units must also observe all and any relevant statutory accident prevention regulations.
The user is referred to the safety data sheet provided together with the manual.

Explanation of Symbols
CAUTION:
Faults and hazards that might arise during operation which might cause damage to the unit or
injury to the user. Observe the operating manual.
CAUTION:
Laser radiation hazards possible when operating the system. Do not expose yourself to the laser
beam.
CAUTION:
Optical radiation hazards possible when operating the system. Do not expose yourself to the
radiation.
CAUTION:
Pull the mains plug before opening the device housing.
CAUTION:
Hot surface. Do not touch.
CAUTION:
Fingers can be caught. Do not touch during operation.

can be found in the operating manuals. See also the following drawings of the system parts
(section 1.8, page 17).
