Determining the temperature of the IC ionization chamber
For an acclimatized measurement setup, the temperature of the IC ionization
chamber can be determined by measuring the water temperature.
•
Measure the water temperature and note down the measured value.
•
After measuring, close the water tank again properly.
Measuring the air pressure
•
Measure the current air pressure and note down the measured value.
NOTE
If the measurements are performed outside of the specified ambient condi-
tions, you may obtain falsified measurement data.
•
Ensure that the ambient conditions specified on page 73 are observed.
WARNING
If the user opens a cover of the water tank, e.g. in order to reach into the
water tank with the sensor to measure the water temperature while the XRS
4 is still generating radiation, the user will then unintentionally come into
contact with X-ray radiation.
•
Ensure that radiation is no longer being generated before opening a cov-
er of the water tank. Actuate the <Pause> button to make sure that the
XRS 4 no longer emits any radiation.
