Operation
Measurement workflow
The most important steps for measuring the depth dose curve and the isot-
ropy of the XRS 4 with the INTRABEAM Water Phantom are:
–
For the emission of X-ray radiation in the Water Phantom, your
INTRABEAM must perform the prescribed verifications on the XRS 4 being
used, as if for a proper treatment. In other words, for the INTRABEAM 600
see "Quality assurance".
–
Fixing the rotary feedthrough:
–
Tighten both fastening screws of the XRS mount evenly by hand.
–
Tighten the clamping screw by hand to fix the rotary feedthrough in
one of its other seven detent positions.
–
Insert the XRS 4 into the XRS mount in the rotary feedthrough.
NOTE
You may obtain incorrect measured values if you do not observe the specified
workflow.
•
Perform the measurements only by means of the outlined workflow.
NOTE
Problems in the workflow due to a doubtful and/or unclear display of settings
and results may lead you to the decision to temporarily shut down your IN-
TRABEAM.
•
Contact ZEISS Service if you have any questions regarding the operation
of the water phantom.
