• Unscrew the cover of the required measuring chamber and lay it aside.
• Remove the ionization chamber holder from the open measuring cham-
ber.
The ionization chamber holder is used to mount and exactly position the IC
ionization chamber in the measuring chamber.
• Place the IC ionization chamber in the ionization chamber holder.
• Push the ionization chamber holder with the IC ionization chamber into
the measuring chamber.
Close the measuring chamber again.
A groove is provided in the measuring chamber and the cover of the meas-
uring chamber as a cable feedthrough.
In order to prevent the cable of the IC ionization chamber from being crushed
when screwing on the measuring chamber cover, you must sure that the IC
ionization chamber cable is lying in this groove.
• Screw the cover of the measuring chamber back on.
NOTE Using a damaged IC ionization chamber, you would obtain either no meas-
urement results at all or false measurement results.
•
Do not use a damaged IC ionization chamber.
NOTE If you use any ionization chamber holder other than the original ionization
chamber holder belonging to the INTRABEAM Water Phantom, you may ob-
tain false measurement results. I.e. your measurement results will deviate sig-
nificantly from the values of the calibration file.

Use only the ionization holder belonging to the INTRABEAM Water Phan-
tom.
