Further notes on data backup
The device’s software can be used to export medical and administrative
data. The transfer of exported data via networks or the import of such data
into third party application software may result in the loss of or unintended
modification of medical information or unintended disclosure of confidential
data. The manufacturer accepts no liability for the correct transfer and
import of data and will not pay compensation for any damage incurred.
No attempt should be made to tamper with the operating system! In
particular, deactivation of the Windows firewall is not permitted!
The user should ensure that, where external data communication takes
place, the system is protected from viruses.
Inspection of electrical safety
WARNING - RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
To ensure safety, please obtain information on the relevant regulations in
your country regarding electrical equipment inspections. These must be
adhered to!
Unless legal requirements dictate otherwise, the operator is advised to carry
out an annual inspection in which the electrical safety is tested in
accordance with IEC 62353:2014.
When performing the inspection, observe the following instructions or the
service instructions issued by Carl Zeiss Meditec.
If you wish Carl Zeiss Meditec to perform the inspection, please contact
ZEISS Service or your local dealer.
Perform the following steps in the given order to perform an electrical safety
inspection of the device:
•
Perform a visual inspection of all components and cables to ensure
orderly condition.
•
Check the protective earth conductor resistance. To do this, connect the
device to the measuring instrument using the power cable. To perform a
measurement, press the measuring tip to the measurement points 1, 2
and 3 shown in Fig. 17. The measured value may not exceed 0.3
Ω
.
•
If there are doubts as to the effectiveness of the insulation (e.g. frequent
triggering of the ground fault circuit interrupter or of other protective
devices in the clinic or practice, or traces of liquid on the device indicating
that liquid has entered into the device), measure the insulation resistance
using a test voltage of 500 V. The measured value may not fall below
2 M
Ω
.
