GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The HE4K-DCK-1X and FV4K-DCK-1X are H.265/HEVC, H.264 and MJPEG video encoders designed to be a
companion to the Sony FCB-ER8300 4K block camera. They are capable of accepting 4K UHD video from the
camera at 30 frames per second and producing IP streams that can be sent on a standard Ethernet cable.
In addition to the 4K UHD stream, the FV4K version also accepts a lower resolution secondary stream of up
to 1080p at 30 fps and produces a corresponding stream independently of the primary stream.
The FV4K version secondary video inputs support analog NTSC/PAL or RS-170 composite video as well as
digital streams formatted as LVDS, and Sony LVDS.
Both encoder versions have a 30-pin KEL connector that mates directly with the FCB-ER8300 camera using a
ribbon cable, eliminating the need for additional interfaces. They can also accept 4K UHD video at 30 fps via
micro-HDMI jack.
