The
View Menu
contains the following options:
Number of Profiles Displayed
Sets the number of profiles to display in the
(§
). You can also change the
number of profiles to display by double-clicking on the axis at the bottom of the graph. During
data collection, a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 250 profiles can be selected.
Data Quality Scale
Sets the scaling for the
(§
).
You can also change the scaling on this
graph by double-clicking its left-hand axis.
Contour Depth Scale
(§
). You can also change the scaling on this
graph by double-clicking its left-hand axis.
Legend Scale
Sets the scaling for the
). You can also change the scaling on the legend
by double-clicking its scale.
Profile Scale
Sets the scaling for the
). You can also change the scaling on this graph by
double-clicking its left-hand axis.
Display X Axis as
Sets X-axis display type for both the
. The X-axis
type can also be selected by right-clicking the
X-axis.
•
Profiles
– Each profile has a fixed width. This option is useful for evaluating lost or bad pro-
files. The total number of profiles is selected by double-clicking the
X-
axis.
•
Dynamic Distance
– Each of the profiles has a width relative to the distance traveled. The to-
tal distance displayed is the total distance traveled over the entire transect. This option is
best used when measuring across a fixed transect.
•
Fixed Distance
– Each of the profiles has a width relative to the distance traveled. The total
distance displayed is fixed and may be selected by double-clicking the
X-
axis. This option is best used when conducting water current surveys.
Profile Graph Variable
Selects the parameter to be displayed in the
(§
). This graph can display the
following parameters. Refer to §
for details about these parameters. The variable displayed
can also be selected by right-clicking the
X-axis.
•
Velocity
– Water current velocity in cm/s or ft/s
•
Amplitude
– Signal amplitude in counts
•
SNR
– Signal-to-noise ratio in dB
•
Velocity-3D
– Water current velocity in three dimensions
•
Profile Extrapolation
– The extrapolated profile based on the parameters set in the
Velocity
Profile Extrapolation
) and used for discharge calculation.
