3-2. Initial Operation
After connection of all tubes described above, please follow instructions as below in order to normally operate
the system.
Check if the
①
filters are installed properly. Check if there is any leakage.
(For the ion exchange type, Check the connection of ion exchange filter)
Check th
②
e tube connection of the feed water and power supply
Open the valve of water supply and wait for the prefilter to be filled water.
③
Turn on, then the system is on the

mode. After pressing
Operate/Standby
key, the instrument
starts flushing for 5 min. for R.O filter. Pressing
Operate/Standby
key once more makes the system stop and
get back to
「
Standby
」
mode. (For the filter, completing the flushing is required.)

key to produce water. Press
Operate/Standby
key again to
stop and get back to
「

mode
⑥
After the
「
Operate
」
mode, the RO pressure is gradually increased. Optimal ratio between the purified water
and the rejection water is around 30 : 70 and optimal RO pressure is around 5~6 Kg/cm

.
3-3. Initial Flushing
When use a new RO membrane cartridge, perform the initial flushing for 4 hours after turn on the system in
order to flush the cartridge inside. During initial flushing, if the purified water quality does not reach to the
required purity, waste the produced water. After flushed the RO cartridge, push the
Operate/Standby
key to
stop producing the purified water and connect the purified water tubing to a reservoir tank. The performance of
the aquaMAX is varied depending on water quality of the feed water. Calculate the Ion Rejection Ratio(water
purity) from following formula.
Feed Water Conductivity – Purified Water Conductivity
aquaMAX
Ion Rejection Ratio(%)
=
Feed Water Conductivity
X 100(%)
210uS – 10uS
