4. Preparation
4.1 PC
To ensure that EJXMVTool functions properly, please make sure your PC meets the
requirements stated in the section ‘3.1 PC’.
All application must be finished.
4.1.1 Setting Items after Installing Windows
Before installing EJXMVTool to Windows environment, the following settings are recom-
mended.
• Power Options
It is recommended to set System Standby to [Never]. Setting procedure is as follows.
Login Windows XP as administrator, and then choose [Start] - [Control Panel] -
[PowerOptions] to open [Power Options Properties] dialog box. Confirm the settings on this
dialog box are the same as follows.
• Power Schemes Tab
System standby and System hibernates are recommended to be set as follows;
Turn off hard disk: Never
System standby: Never
System hibernates: Never

Delete Save As...
UPS
Select the power scheme with the most apropriate settings for
this computer. Note that changing the settings below will modify
the selected scheme.

Never System standby:
Never System hibernates:
