4. Installation
This chapter describes how to install the gateway.
4.1
Precautions on Installation
•
For information about the conditions of the installation location, refer to the gateway
specifications issued by Multi-Tech Systems.
•
Install the gateway in an outdoor location that is as high as possible and where there are as
few surrounding obstacles as possible. When installing the gateway indoors, choose the
location by carefully examining the surrounding environment.
•
Check that no damage, deformation, or foreign objects are affecting or found in the gateway
installation location.
•
Install the gateway so that the antennas are a sufficient distance away from any metallic
objects in the vicinity.
4.2
Mounting the Bracket on the Gateway
Follow the procedure below to mount the bracket on the gateway.
(1) Apply the dedicated bracket included as an accessory to the rear of the gateway. Put the
bracket on the gateway so that the screw holes in the dedicated bracket are aligned with
those in the gateway.
(2) Screw a M5 screw into each of the four mounting screw holes.
