Trigger Output (See sections 8.1 and 8.2 for the procedures)
The GS200 can output the program trigger signal from the SYNC OUT terminal (I/O
terminals for synchronous operation) or the BNC output terminal to the subsequent
GS200s that are connected.
TrigOut
TrigOut transmits the trigger busy signal.
• When program triggers are set to normal (Norm)
When a program trigger is generated, this signal is set to low level. When the program
interval time elapses, this signal is set to high level.
• When program triggers are set to measurement end (M.End)
When a program trigger is generated, this signal is set to low level. Regardless of the
program interval time, this signal is immediately set back to high level.
Trigger Hold
You can pause program execution by pressing the HOLD key on the front panel or by
transmitting the communication command “:PROGram:HOLD” or “:PROGram:PAUSe.”To
resume program execution, press the HOLD key again, or transmit the communication
command “:PROGram:HOLD” or “:PROGram:CONTinue.”
Sampling Error
If one of the following invalid triggers occurs, the sampling error indicator on the front
panel illuminates.
• A new measurement trigger occurred while a measurement operation was in progress.
• The RUN or STEP key was pressed or an external trigger signal was received while a
program was running.
Note
If sampling errors occur, the trigger generation timing may be too fast. If the sampling error
indicator illuminates, check settings such as the selected trigger source and timer period.
