Explanation

The VISA information contains a character string that is passed to viOpen() to open a 
device using a VISA library.
GPIB:     The character string that is passed to viOpen() when using the GP-IB 

interface.

USB:      The character string that is passed to viOpen() when using the USB-TMC 

protocol.

LAN:      The character string that is passed to viOpen() when using the Ethernet 

VXI-11 protocol.
