Here 1 of 3 protection levels may be set to protect the CPU from unauthorized
access.

Protection level 1 (default setting):
No password adjustable, no restrictions

Protection level 2 with password:
Authorized users: read and write access
Unauthorized user: read access only

Protection level 3:
Authorized users: read and write access
Unauthorized user: no read and write access
4.8 Setting VIPA specific CPU parameters
Except of the VIPA specific CPU parameters the CPU parametrization takes place in the
parameter dialog of the CPU 314C-2 PN/DP (314-6EH04-0AB0 V3.3) from Siemens.
After the hardware configuration of the CPU you can set the parameters of the CPU in
the virtual IO device
‘VIPA MICRO PLC’
. Via double-click at
‘VIPA MICRO PLC M13-
CCF0000’
the properties dialog is opened.
