4.2.2  HotConnect via Configured Station Alias

The specification of the 

HotConnect

 address via 

Configured Station Alias

 happens as fol-

lows:

1.

In your configuration tool, connect to the corresponding slave station. This must be

in the INIT state.

2.

Adjust the 

Configured Station Alias

 in the SII (EEPROM).

3.

Perform a power cycle.

The value set in the SII is used as 

Configured Station Alias

.

Information on how to enter an ESC register and a Configured Station

Alias address in your configuration tool can be found in the associated

manual.

For example, in the EtherCAT Manager you must open the  ‘Advanced

options’  of the slave station in your configuration, activate  ‘Check

identification’  and enter the ESC register address 0x0012 at  ‘Select local

address’ . In this case, the Configured Station Alias address must be

specified in  ‘Diagnostics mode’  via  ‘EEPROM’  and in  ‘Group’  via

‘Identification value’ .

4.3  Operating Mode - Normal/Enhanced mode

Starting with firmware version V2.0.1 and ESI version V5.0, the IM

053-1EC01 supports FSoE safety modules. For this, switching to

Enhanced mode is required. More information on the use of the Yaskawa

FSoE safety modules can be found in the corresponding manual.

You can specify the corresponding operating mode via the object 0x3000: 04. After set-

ting the operating mode, the EtherCAT coupler reboots in the set operating mode. The IM

053-1EC01 has the following operating modes.

Normal mode (default setting)

Setting via object 0x3000: 04 = 0x00

Backwards compatible with the previous version of the EtherCAT coupler

n

Enhanced Mode

Setting via object 0x3000: 04 = 0x01

The structure of the module-related objects is changed.

Please note that when replacing an EtherCAT Coupler in Enhanced

mode, the new EtherCAT coupler must also be in Enhanced mode.

appropriate default settings are required when commissioning the new

EtherCAT coupler, otherwise the EtherCAT coupler does not change to

the state PreOp.
