Software Limit Function
This function forcibly stops the servomotor in the same way as the overtravel function when the
moving part of the machine enters the software limit range specified by the parameters (com-
mon parameter 26 (Pn804), common parameter 28 (Pn806)).
The method for stopping the servomotor is the same as when an OT signal is input.
Conditions for Enabling the Software Limit Function
The software limit function is enabled when the following operations are completed. In other
cases, the function remains disabled.
•
Zero point return operation by the ZRET command is completed.
•
The coordinate setting is completed after reference point setting (REFE = 1) by executing the
POS_SET command.
•
When using an absolute encoder, the sensor is turned on by the SENS_ON command.
