I/O Signal Connector (CN1) Signal Names and Functions
The following table gives the pin numbers, names, and functions of the I/O signal pins for the
default settings.
Input Signals
Default settings are given in parentheses. Refer to the following section for details on changing
allocations.

2
Frame Ground
Connected if the shield wire from the I/O Signal
Cable is connected to the frame ground.

SI1
(/MODE)
3
General-purpose
Sequence Input 1
(Mode Switch Input)
You can allocate the input signal to use with a
parameter.
(Changes between mode 0 (Program Table Oper-
ation) and mode 1 (Jog Speed Table Operation).)
SI2
(/START)
4
General-purpose
Sequence Input 2
(Program Table
Operation Start
Input)
You can allocate the input signal to use with a
parameter.
(When the signal turns ON, program table opera-
tion starts.)
SI3
(/STOP)
5
General-purpose
Sequence Input 3
(Program Table
Operation Stop
Input)
You can allocate the input signal to use with a
parameter.
(When the signal turns ON, the motor deceler-
ates to a stop according to the deceleration rate
for the current program step.)
SI4
(/HOME)
6
General-purpose
Sequence Input 4
(Homing Input)
You can allocate the input signal to use with a
parameter.
(When the signal turns ON, homing is started.)
+24VIN
7
Sequence Input Sig-
nal Power Supply
Input
Connected to the 24-V side of the sequence
input signal power supply.
Allowable voltage range: 24 VDC ±10%
(The 24-V power supply is not provided by
Yaskawa.)

SI5
(/PGMRES,
/ALM-RST)
8
General-purpose
Sequence Input 5
(Program Table
Operation Reset
Input or Alarm Reset
Input)
You can allocate the input signal to use with a
parameter.
(/PGMRES: When the signal turns ON during
program table operation, program table opera-
tion is reset. /ALM-RST: When the signal turns
ON, any alarms are reset.)
SI6
(/JOGP, /SEL0)
9
General-purpose
Sequence Input 6
(Forward Jog input
or Program Step
Selection Input 0)
You can allocate the input signal to use with a
parameter.
(/JOGP: While the signal is ON, forward jog oper-
ation is performed. /SEL0: Specifies the program
step.)
SI7
(/JOGN, /SEL1)
10
General-purpose
Sequence Input 7
(Reverse Jog input
or Program Step
Selection Input 1)
You can allocate the input signal to use with a
parameter.
(/JOGN: While the signal is ON, reverse jog oper-
ation is performed. /SEL1: Specifies the program
step.)
