Note : Significant wave height is a term used when planning to build a boat. The
significant wave height is the mean height of the highest one third of the waves,
which approximately corresponds to the wave height estimated by an
experienced observer. In the event that the significant wave height is 2.0 m the
mean height of all waves is roughly 1.2 m.
