TIP
• While filling the front fork leg, keep it upright.
• After filling, slowly pump the front fork leg up
and down to distribute the fork oil.
11.Install:
• Fork spring
• Spring seat
• Spacer
• Front fork cap bolt
(along with the O-ring
)
TIP
• Temporarily tighten the front fork cap bolt.
• Tighten the front fork cap bolt specified torque,
when installing the front fork with upper brack-
et.
12.Install:
• Protector “1”
TIP
Align the projection “a” on the protector with the
slot “b” in the outer tube.

INSTALLING THE FRONT FORK LEGS
The following procedure applies to both of the
front fork legs.
1. Install:
• Front fork leg “1”
Temporarily tighten the lower bracket pinch
bolt.
TIP
Make sure the inner tube end is flush with the top
of the handlebar.
2. Tighten:
• Lower bracket pinch bolt
• Upper bracket pinch bolt
• Handlebar pinch bolt
• Front fork cap bolt
3. Install:
• Front fender bracket “1”
• Front fender
TIP
Align the edge “a” of each front fender bracket
with the stopper “b” on the front fork “2”. Make
sure to fit the front fender bracket under the stop-
per on the front fork.
