Control function
Engine switch
The engine switch controls the ignition and the starter
motor system.
STOP
Position to stop the engine.
The key can be inserted or removed.
Between the “STOP ” and “ON ” position
Oil level warning light comes on. Check that the bulb of
the oil level warning is not burnt out.
ON
Position when the engine is running.
The key cannot be removed.
START
Position to start the engine.
The starter motor cranks the engine. When releasing
the grip, the key returns to the “ON ” position auto-
matically.
The key cannot be removed.
TIP
Remove the engine switch key when you are not using
the Snowblower.

• Do not continue to use the starter motor for more
than 5 seconds. Doing so will consume a large
amount of power and it may exhaust the battery.
• Do not leave the key in the “ON ” position for a
long time while the engine is stopped. It may
exhaust the battery.
