[B-2] DIAGNOSIS USING THE FAULT CODES

Turn the main switch to “OFF” before disconnecting or connecting a coupler.

Symptom Open or short circuit is detected in the front wheel sensor.

1 Defective coupler between the front
wheel sensor and the hydraulic unit
assembly • Check the coupler for any pins that may be pulled
out.
• Check the locking condition of the coupler.
• If there is a malfunction, repair it and connect the
coupler securely.
See TIP.
2 Open or short circuit in the wire har-
ness between the front wheel sensor
and the hydraulic unit assembly • Check for continuity between the black terminal
“1” and the black terminal “4” and between the
white terminal “2” and the white terminal “5”.
• If there is no continuity, the wire harness is defec-
tive. Replace the wire harness.
• Check that there is no short circuit between the
black terminal “1” and the white terminal “2” and
between the black terminal “4” and the white ter-
minal “5”.
• If there is short circuit, the wire harness is defec-
tive. Replace the wire harness.
• Check that there is no short circuit between the
black terminal “3” and the black terminal “4” and
between the black terminal “3” and the white ter-
minal “5”.
• If there is short circuit, the wire harness is defec-
tive. Replace the wire harness.
