PC content playback : The MCX-2000 broadens
music enjoyment throughout your home with the ability
to play back music files from a PC. Edit library items
using the PC web browser. Also, there are tentative
plans to offer Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA)
compatibility.

Simply wireless : You can enjoy and control music in
as many as 16 locations: one Server and 15 Clients
(5 wireless plus 10 wired).
Store 3000 CDs of music : A huge amount of music
is at your fingertips. The hard disk stores up to 3,000
CDs of music in MP3 format.
User friendly: The Server has a GUI with on-screen
menus and the Clients have large panel displays.
Radio choicies : FM tuner, Internet Radio
compatibility and XM Satellite Radio.
Create your own CDs : You can even make your
own CDs from playlists of songs you have selected.
Automatic retrieval of music information : Various
information about songs, such as artist name, album
name, song list and music genre can be retrieved
automatically from the Internet (Gracenote® Music
Recognition Service) or, if not connected to the
Internet, from an internal database.
Music recognition technology and related data are provided by
Gracenote®.

MCX-C15 / MCX-CA15S
The MusicCAST client system, MCX-C15 and MCX-CA15S,
offers extensive features and flexibility.
In-wall installation : Great control within
reach, yet out of the way...bring home the
convenience of this intelligently integrated in-wall
mountable MusicCAST Client into your living
environment. With variety of installation
configuration available, now every room is fully
customizable to enjoy the benefits the MusicCAST
music distribution system can provide.
Favorites selection : The four Favorites buttons
allow direct playback of various sources. Each can
be assigned the following functions: playlist,
analog or digital inputs from Server, tuner presets,
local Aux input from MCX-CA15S. Favorite
selections can be made even when the MCX-C15
is in sleep mode.
IR flasher support : The MCX-C15 supports limited
IR transmission functions for custom installation. IR
signals from the MCX-C15 can be transmitted to the
MCX-CA15S or the I/O Box, and can drive an IR
flasher for remote control of other components. The
function works on only 38kHz modulation frequency.
* IR flasher units are not available from Yamaha.
Yamaha AV link : The MCX-C15
can generate extended IR
commands to control a Yamaha AV
amplifier / receiver, if more power is
desired. The following functions can
be controlled via the MCX-C15
remote control: volume, input
selection, sleep and standby modes.
