Performance damper
(RST90TFL)
This model is equipped with Yamaha Perfor-
mance Dampers.
These dampers reduce unwanted chassis vi-
bration and distortion.

Yamaha Performance Dampers contain
highly pressurized nitrogen gas. Read and
understand the following information be-
fore handling a performance damper.
Do not tamper with or attempt to open
the cylinder assemblies.
Do not subject a damper to open flame
or other high heat source. This may
cause the unit to explode due to exces-
sive gas pressure.
Do not deform or damage the cylinders
in any way. Cylinder damage will result
in poor damping performance.
Do not dispose of a damaged or worn
out damper yourself. Take the damper
to a Yamaha dealer for any service.
NOTICE

Yamaha Performance Dampers are preci-
sion instruments and are not serviceable
in any way. The mishandling of a removed
damper can easily break it. Consult a
Yamaha dealer before removing a damp-
er.

Minimum (soft):
16 mm (0.63 in)
Standard:
16 mm (0.63 in)
Maximum (hard):
18 mm (0.71 in)
* Distance A changes 1.25 mm (0.05 in)
with each full turn of the adjusting
nut.
