Problems with AM radio
AM radio reception is poor or has noise

It is picking up noise from sources like fluorescent lights, motors, etc.
It is difficult to completely eliminate noise from the environment. However, using a commercially-
available outdoor antenna may help reduce the noise.
Automatic selection of AM radio stations is not possible

The AM radio signal is weak.
Change the direction of the AM antenna.

Cannot register (preset) any AM radio stations

The auto registration function (auto preset) is being used.
Auto preset only works with FM radio stations. Please register AM radio stations manually. For more
details, refer to the following.

Cannot select radio stations by pressing the PRESET key

No radio stations are registered.
If no radio stations at all have been registered, “No Presets” is displayed on the front display when the
PRESET key is pressed. Register radio stations to preset numbers. For more details, refer to the

The input is on something other than “TUNER”.
Press the TUNER key. “TUNER” presets can only be recalled when the input is on “TUNER”.
