CAMSHAFT, ROCKER ARMS AND VALVES
REMOVING THE CAMSHAFT AND ROCKER
ARMS
1. Remove:
• camshaft 1
NOTE:
Screw in a M10 bolt 2 into the thread hole on
the camshaft, and pull out the camshaft.
2. Remove:
• rocker arm shafts (intake and exhaust)

• rocker arms

NOTE:
Use a slide hammer bolt and weight
3
to
remove the rocker arm shafts.

REMOVING THE VALVES AND VALVE
SPRINGS
1. Check:
• valve sealing
Leakage at the valve seat
→
Check the
valve face, valve seat and valve seat width.
Refer to “CHECKING THE VALVES AND
VALVE SPRINGS”.

a. Pour a clean solvent 1 into the intake and
exhaust ports.
b. Check that the valve seals properly.
There should be no leakage at the valve
seat
