Loading a Style File
Style data created on another instr u ment or a com-
p u ter can b e loaded to the Style n u m b ers 283–292,
and yo u can play them in the same w ay as the inter-
nal preset Styles. The follo w ing t w o Load operations
are a v aila b le.
• Loading of a Style file (.sty) sa v ed on the root
directory on the USB flash dri v e
• Loading of a Style file (.sty) transferred from a
comp u ter v ia the M u sicsoft Do w nloader and stored
in the internal memory of this instr u ment

Hold the [FUNCTION] button for lon g er
than a second to call up the File Control
display.

Use the CATEGORY [<<] and [>>] but-
tons to call up the “Load STY” messa
g e.

Press the [0/EXECUTE] button.
The name of a Style file in the USB flash dri v e or
internal memory of this instr u ment w ill appear on
the display. If desired, rotate the dial to select a
different Style file.

Press the [0/EXECUTE] button a g ain.
“Load To? ***” (***: 283–292) appears on the dis-
play as the Load destination. If desired, rotate the
dial to select a different n u m b er.

Press the [0/EXECUTE] button a g ain.
A confirmation message w ill appear. To cancel
the operation, press the [-/NO] bu tton.

Press the [0/EXECUTE] button a g ain, or
the [+/YES] button to execute the Load
operation.
After a w hile, a message indicating completion of
the operation appears.

Press the [STYLE] button, rotate the dial
to select a Style from 283–292, and then
try playin
g it back.
• For instructions on transferring a Style file from a computer via
the Musicsoft Downloader, refer to the online PDF manual
(page 11) “Computer-related Operations.” After data transfer,
load the Style data to one of the Style numbers 283–292 to
enable playback.
• Loading a Style file will overwrite and erase the existing
data of the destination number. Save important data you
want to keep to a separate USB flash drive before loading.

Load STY
• The Load operation cannot be cancelled during execu-
tion. Never turn off the power or disconnect the USB
flash drive during the operation. Doing so may result
in data loss.
