Basic Operations
The aspect ratio for projected images can be selected from the following five types of setting. However,
the aspect ratio settings that can be selected will vary depending on the input signal.
Procedure
For Video (SDTV) signals, the aspect
mode changes in the following order
each time the [ASPECT] button on
either the projector's control panel or
the remote control is pressed.
Normal

Squeeze Through
The current setting appears on the screen each
time the aspect ratio changes.

Do not use the aspect mode function to elongate or compress image that are being projected for
commercial purposes or in public places such as hotel lobbies or stores, as doing so may infringe
the rights of the original copyright owner for the images under copyright protection laws.

The aspect ratio of the images being input
is maintained, and the images are
projected into a 16:9 screen area.
When 4:3 images are being projected,
black bands will appear at the left and
right of the image as shown in the
illustration at left.
