Remove the reservoir cap “1” and O-ring
“2”, and then check the fluid level in the
reservoir.
Before removing the reservoir cap, make
sure that the trim and tilt ram is fully ex-
tended. Otherwise, fluid could be expelled
forcefully from the PTT unit due to internal
pressure.
TIP:
If the fluid is at the proper level, a small amount
of fluid should flow out of the filler hole when
the reservoir cap is removed.

If the fluid is below the proper level, add
the recommended fluid.
d.
Install a new O-ring and the reservoir cap,
and then tighten the reservoir cap to the
specified torque.

Loosen the nuts “1”.

Move the hook “2” up or down slightly to
adjust its position.
TIP:
• To loosen the fitting, move the hook in direc-
tion “a”.
• To tighten the fitting, move the hook in direc-
tion “b”.

Tighten the nut.
