Disassembling the cylinder block

Remove the crankcase

Remove the connecting rod caps

then remove the crankpin bearings

connecting rods, and piston assemblies

TIP:
• To prevent mixing the pistons, connecting
rods, and connecting rod caps, mark each
with an identification number

of the cor-
responding cylinder.
• Mark each connecting rod and connecting
rod cap with mark

on the side facing
toward the flywheel magnet end of the
crankshaft.
• Make sure to keep the parts in the order of
removal.
