Water pump and shift rod (regular rotation model)

TIP:
If the engine overheats, the inside of the
water pump housing may be deformed.
Therefore, make sure to remove the insert
cartridge when checking the water pump
housing.
2. Check the impeller, insert cartridge, and
outer plate cartridge. Replace if cracked
or worn.
3. Check the Woodruff key and the keyway
in the drive shaft. Replace if deformed or
worn.
4. Check the shift rod. Replace if bent,
cracked, or worn.
Assembling the water pump housing
1. Install the seal “1” and cover “2”.
2. Install a new O-ring “1” and the insert
cartridge “2”.
TIP:
Fit the protrusions “a” on the insert cartridge
“2” into the slots “b” in the water pump hous-
ing “3”.
