SEQUENCE Function
A
sequence
is a recorded series of MIDI performance data (MIDI instructions). The A3000
records a sequence by memorizing the MIDI data that you send from a MIDI keyboard
or other such MIDI device. When you play the sequence back, the A3000 reproduces the
same series of instructions.
The A3000’s sequencing feature is ideal for capturing performance ideas involving break
beats and phrase samples. Note, however, that the A3000 is not designed to offer the
capabilities of a professional sequencer, and does not support MIDI clock synchroniza-
tion, sequence editing, or other such functions.

Edit the Name
• Turn either knob to select the sequence that you want to play or over-record. The
name of the selected sequence appears above the knobs.
• You can change the name of the sequence by pushing either knob to proceed to the
name editing screen. For information about how to edit name strings, see “Entering
