Do not run the engine without supplying
the cooling water. Either the engine
water pump will be damaged or the
engine will overheat and be damaged.
Before starting the engine, supply the
water to cooling water passage of the
motor.

Flushing in a Water Tank
1)
Install the outboard motor on the
water tank.
2)
Fill the tank with fresh water to above
the level of the anti-cavitation plate.
3)
Shift into neutral and start the engine.
4)
Run the engine at low speed for a few
minutes.

If the fresh water level is below the level
of the anti-cavitation plate, or if the water
supply is insufficient, engine seizure may
occur.

Fuel Tank
1)
Drain the fuel from the tank for a long
period of storage.
2)
Store the fuel tank in a dry, well-venti-
lated place, not in direct sunlight.

The fuel tank supplied with this engine is
its dedicated fuel reservoir and must not
be used as a fuel storage container.
Commercial users should conform to rel-
evant licensing or approval authority reg-
ulations.
