Do not drive a lift truck into an elevator unless authorized
to do so. Approach the elevator slowly. After the elevator is
properly leveled, the lift truck must be centered so that the
elevator is balanced.
When the lift truck is in the proper position in the elevator,
set the brakes, put the controls in
NEUTRAL
and shut off
the power. It is advisable that all other personnel leave the
elevator before the lift truck enters or leaves.

Drive carefully, observe traffic rules, and be in
full control of the lift truck at all times. Be com-
pletely familiar with all the driving and load handling

Powershift 1 Speed or Techtronix 100 (1 speed) Transmis-
sion. Read the following sections carefully. See
for the features and operational differences
in these transmission types.
